SALON MUSIC is an independent impresario company, CD shop situated in the Brooklyn Mall and manages its own theatre the Brooklyn Theatre in Menlo Park, Pretoria. This concern promotes classical music in South Africa and provides employment opportunities for South African classical musicians and singers. Directors Daniël Vos and Willem Vogel have succeeded in sustaining a constant high standard of classical entertainment for South African audiences since the establishment of the company sixteen years ago. These endeavours include three annual seasons of highly accessible salon concerts, operas, operettas, ballet and chamber music as well as CD recordings. Special heed is given to educating the broad public and uplifting children.
